Accreditation
Unlike many countries, accreditation in the Netherlands does not take place at the level of universities as such, but at the level of degree programmes. Each Bachelor or Master course is accredited separately by the Dutch – Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO). The NVAO works with so called Quality Assessment Agencies.
The University is the first institution to offer curricula of study in integration sciences and human integratology which is a new field of science. So far accreditations in this field are not yet existing. However, the University is currently preparing programmes at Master’s degree level for the accreditation scheme “toets nieuwe opleidingen” with NVAO (Nederlands- vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie). It is one of the University’s quality and development policies to seek programme accreditation along with the growing needs and requirements.
