(Excerpts from TUO Regulations)

(1) The study is taking place in the following forms:) Full time) Combined or,) Distant

(2) In the full-time form of study is the process mainly performed with a student present at the workplaceto guaranteeing his/her study plan (further only referred to as “educational workplace”).

(3) In the distant form of study is the process mainly performed on the basis of individual studying of a student,away from the educational workplace.

(4) Combination of full-time and distant forms of study means that a selected part of the study is done in the fulltime form and the other part is done in the distant form.

(5) Standard period of study duration is for all study forms three or, at maximum, four years. The standardof study duration is set by a study load that needs to be dealt with under standard conditions in the fulltime form of study in three years. For the standard study duration period is prepared an individual study plan in the full-time form. For a distant form of study is the study plan prepared to allow a study method via multimedia form of learning, with utilisation of e-learning and internet technologies. For a combined form of study, the individual study plan is prepared for five years maximum, with regard to relative ratio of distance and full time studies.

(6) For serious reasons the Dean, based on a suggestion by supervisor, may interrupt, also repeatedly, the studynecessary long period, although the maximum is 2 years. The deadline for submission of the dissertationis extended by the time of study interruption. Thesis, however, must be submitted at the latest 7 years from the commencement of studies for all forms of studies, including the said interruption
