(Excerpts from TUO Regulations)

(1) Student submits an application for defence hearing of the thesis at the administration department along withthe copies of the thesis and abstracts according to article 11, para. Paragraphs 5 and 6. A statement of opinionsupervisor and the Branch Committee complements the application whether or not they recommend thefor defence hearing. Condition for submitting an application is an evidence of about at least 3 ownin professional journals or in conference proceedings. Student does not have to be the only singleof these publications.

VSB - TUO issues, based on the Dean's proposal, a diploma with specification of the study programme, studyand granting the academic title "doctor". The study graduate also receives a Diploma Supplement documenting the study contents and results.
